Join the Scientific Archivists Group
The Scientific Archivists Group was set up in 1981, with the aim of exchanging knowledge relating to archives with a scientific application, but many topics are applicable to Archivists and Records Managers from other disciplines. Members of the group include archivists and record managers from many leading scientific organisations, commercial service providers and regulatory bodies.
Whatever your level of knowledge on archiving or records management , the Scientific Archivists Group has something to offer you.
The main focal point of the Scientific Archivists Group are the regularly held conferences consisting of training workshops, knowledgeable guest speakers, organised visits and important and valuable networking opportunities where experience and problems can be shared with other like-minded individuals.
The Scientific Archivists Group promotes and participates in meetings, congresses and symposia which allow exchange of information on the role of the Archive and Archivist, and encourage members to keep abreast of developments.
The Scientific Archivists Group also publish Sagacity, the group's bi-annual journal. Papers, presentations and lectures from the conferences are included, along with current awareness features and topical articles to enable members to keep abreast of development within the industry.
Membership will also provides access to the forthcoming members area of this site, where there will be more resources and opportunities to interact with other members of the Scientific Archivists Group.
